I have been elected president of two different real estate boards, have chaired a regional MLS, have been elected to numerous leadership positions and have served at the local, state and national levels in REALTOR committees. In 2008 I was the REALTOR Of The Year for the Gallatin Association of REALTORS. I have been a member of several local association boards, the Montana Association of REALTORS and the National Association of REALTORS.
Education is an important part of keeping current with local, regional and national trends in real estate. I make a point of attending local, state and national educational meetings and training sessions to best represent both buyers and sellers.
I have been a managing or supervising broker for over 18 years and have managed regional offices as well as two different real estate firms.
From a production standpoint, I have consistently achieved numerous production awards. Our company recently became a member of the Berkshire Hathaway Home Services family. Prior to this new affiliation, our firm was affiliated with Prudential Real Estate where I was included in the Prudential Chairman's Circle Award (Top 1% of the Prudential agents in the country) so many times that I achieved a Prudential LEGEND Award.
I am an active member in the BHHS Montana Properties Ranch and Recreational Group as well as the Fine Homes Marketing and Commercial Marketing groups.
My primary office is located in Big Sky, Montana where I love to work in the resort environment. Big Sky is a special place that has the "Biggest Skiing in America". Big Sky has a reputation for great snow and NO lift lines. Yellowstone Park is just 17 miles south of the resort and the ski area is virtually surrounded by thousands of acres of public land and outstanding recreational opportunities. Big Sky has two primary villages, one is known as the Mountain Village and the other as the Meadow Village. Other well known areas within Big Sky are the Yellowstone Club, Moonlight Basin Resort and Spanish Peaks Mountain Club. I work these markets daily and have the insight to provide perspective and knowledge to both buyers and sellers. I also maintain an office in Bozeman and I am active in the Southwest Montana Multiple Listing Service that provides MLS support to the Bozeman and Big Sky areas as well as Madison, Gallatin, Beaverhead, Park, Jefferson, Broadwater and Sweet Grass Counties.
My roots run deep in Montana, one of my grandmothers was born in Bannock when it was the Territorial Capital. My father was born to a homesteading family in the central part of the state, near Lewistown. As a Montana native, I was raised in Polson, at the south end of Flathead Lake in the western part of the state. Our family then moved to Great Falls where I lived prior to moving to Bozeman in the late 60's.
Fly-fishing the Jocko River as a boy, hunting, backpacking, floating and exploring the state have been my lifelong passion. I consider myself to be an expert on the state, having studied everything from archaeology, written history, politics, agriculture and industry in this wonderful state known as the "Treasure State" or in more contemporary times "Big Sky Country".
From the wind-swept plains, to the rugged continental divide, I have spent countless hours discovering the back country as well as the small towns and cities across the state. Exploring the Missouri River Breaks or hiking along the Rocky Mountain Front, watching the economic change from a logging and agricultural paradigm to more emphasis on a high tech and a recreational economic platform has been fascinating.
Listening and good communication are important goals for me. I want to understand your interests and objectives and will work diligently to help you sell or find the property of your dreams.
With enthusiasm and professionalism, I look forward to working with you.
